Since 1993, Bangkok Bay has been a family-owned restaurant run by four sisters: Ikun, Cholada, Mimi, and Neena. Ikun, Mimi, and Neena had just recently arrived from Bangkok when the four sisters conceived the idea of sharing a piece of Thailand with the diverse people of the Bay Area. After taking a few years to find this perfect place in Redwood City, the family opened Bangkok Bay's doors in July, 1993. Today, the four sisters, along with friends and family, all work to build the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. During each visit, each sister shows guests a little bit of what makes Thailand known as the "Land of Smiles" among tourists everywhere.  The family owned its own restaurant in Bangkok for well over a decade. Their joy comes from sharing our culinary creations with our visitors. We hope that you will give us a chance to share them with you.
